Welcome to the 6th panel of LidlTerm season 1. This week the supertalented icearbr, winner and host of several longterms, is not only the guest judge but he also designed a makeup line by the name of Nuclear Family to which the designers had to design outfits for. We are also fortunate to have alydaman/Alex back. Let's eat I'm starving

This is the fourth time you have utilized that jacket and we’ve only had 6 tasks, I am really bored with it by now. I see what you were going for, a bloody, meaty effect which resembles the eyes and you did a good job at conveying that. The design is lackluster I’m afraid, the stethoscope is a risk that did not pay off, it drags down the whole outfit. The choice of color on the heels is a bit boring in this instance, I’d go for a nude heel if the outfit was really busy and in this case it’s not. The white minidress is cute, yet nothing about this outfit is that exciting. I’ve seen you bounce back before (task 3) and I believe you will once again.
alex:
While I love the unique perspective this has and the very angular and geometric construction of it, it looks incredibly dated and just downright messy and too busy. I don't like the hair either, it's all a bit off this week
icearbr:
A more straightforward approach to your makeup. I do enjoy the direction but its lacking the enthusiasm of a fresh design.

This is such a peculiar design, definitely one of the most interesting ones this week. It is a bit tacky, but I think it works with the gold make-up. The dark jade colored pants are amazing and so mesmerizing to look at. The gold in the hair and on the chest and on the side of the pants are fun details, sadly they take away too much focus from the make-up - too much gold! I adore that necklace though. All in all this is a weirdly pleasing design to look at and I am grateful you took several risks with this R&B of early 2000’s design. Something really cool about this design is that the slightly shimmery effect of the pants transition through to the heels because or the color you chose.
alex:
Very if Medusa was a 90s supermodel. Loves it. To be honest I do feel it is a bit too busy though, the hair and the chest are trying to pull focus from each other, you should have picked one
icearbr:
A majestic and seraphic design. A grandeur maneuvering of tones and palettes becoming a feast for the eyes.

Absolutely love the hair with the make-up, it looks perfect. The dress is amateuristic and uninspiring, it. you somehow made a dress that pops and is yet uninteresting. I have seen this dress a million times and you couldn’t have chosen a more unoriginal use for the feathered cowl. I gave you no outfit advice because you executed your concept flawlessly, it’s just a really tired concept I’m afraid. You’ve gotten this far because you have a good eye for styling, you rarely overdesign and because other designers have stumbled. Your goal this competition was to be the most controversial contestant, a status which you earned. It’s however time for you to step aside and allow 7 designers who have more passion and drive for designing than you to progress.
alex:
Not keen on all this black Hun... I think the textures in there are gorgeous but it's a fairly simple silhouette that's we've seen similar of this season.
icearbr:
A plodding display of overused techniques combined with the drabbest of colour palettes. It lacks enthusiasm and originality. I do not care for it.

This is very modern warrior meets Calvin Klein, you look like a stylish video game hero. I usually have a hard time when people just slap on jackets like that and call it a day, but you chose such a gorgeous color and added shoulderpads to it which mesh quite well. The skirt is absolutely amazing and I can't stop looking at it, there is a ripped, frayed quality to it which I love. After two weak looks in a row you managed to show us that you have a good sense of styling.
alex:
Phenomenal sexy lady. I love your shoulder spikes you are giving it to me babes. This is very unique and I don't see anyone else in your lane this week. I appreciate a bitch who takes RISKS goddamit
icearbr:
A fantastic procession of blues and negative space. I don't fully connect it with the makeup but overall reflects an impressive showing of taste and talent.

This looks like a look for a fall collection, you have once again shown that no one can work with colors like you can, without that ability this outfit wouldn’t have been nearly as exciting. What strikes me the most is that there is a lot going on, and a lot of orange and red, yet the makeup isn’t overshadowed. The blue belt is delightful, it serves as the opposite of the makeup and does a good job at not making this look too warm, it creates harmony. I wasn’t too keen on the shoes at first but now I see their purpose: they bring texture and push the design into streetwear category.
alex:
absolutely fantastic, you warped your outfit to match your makeup in such a cool funky way. Love the colours together and the layering is clean and fashionable
icearbr:
A profound design displaying you talent on colour palettes and composition. It is one of my favourites of the week.

When you handed it in I did not understand it one bit, now it’s actually one of my favorites. Sure, the outfit could’ve correlated a bit more with the makeup, but you perfectly fulfilled the criteria of allowing the makeup to stand out while your design also holds its ground. I am head over heels for how you’ve incorporated the shoe into the dress and the turquoise color is stunning. The poofy, light shirt integrated seamlessly with the backpack makes for an interesting combination of soft and hard textures, which I applaud. I only like earrings when they have thought behind them and not as a last minute touch, in this case they really do have impact.
alex:
On first glance a very tired item combination but you have elevated it by the choices you made to edit and let the colours and shapes do the talking. It looks very professional and let's that makeup really pop and shine with the earrings really being a stunning addition.
icearbr:
fat and shapele- An astounding direction in showcasing the makeup without one single trace of the gold in the actual outfit. The complimentary colours work wonders in interrelation with the face.

filip:
The disintegrating skirt is my favorite aspect of this, it is melancholic and beautiful. I think that out of all the 8 designs, this is the one where the makeup does the least for the outfit, and it is due to you having incorporated the same color purple of the makeup into the outfit but with different graphics and textures that stand out, which sadly leaves the makeup a bit in the dust. If you had wanted to highlight the makeup more, a good idea wouldve been to have picked a complimentary color to purple and only have the purple in the makeup. The heel is so fabulous and fresh, though I must say I am getting tired of that shirt and backpack combination.
alex:
Maybe this makeup was just hard to work with but again I see no connection from the makeup to the outfit other than the colours. In the nicest way, it's just clothes. However I do really admire the skirt, it's gorgeous but overall this was a miss
icearbr:
A pedestrian approach lacking keenness and ardor. A missed opportunity in colour play and technique.

I am so impressed by how you took the vest and the fur and created something completely original. The red skirt is a bit distracting and breaks a certain harmony the rest or your design has, I wish it was blue or purple. The top is so strong however that it kind of doesn’t matter, everything else is perfect about this, you had what is probably the hardest makeup look to work with and you did amazingly, in a weird and fabulous way this look is both pure/innocent and a bit dirty/rough. You have grown a lot through this competition and managed to bring the drama and volume which you love through your designs in an edited, balanced, fashion-forward way. Keep it up!
alex:
This is so so gorgeoussss the colours!!!! The fur textures melting into each other is actually stunning and you bring out the makeup so well by carrying down that purple. This is above the standard and my fave of the week.
icearbr:
A perfect example of an outfit really playing up the makeup associated with. The overgrowing tumor of the top is a touch genius in my opinion. It makes me forgive the randomness of the red skirt which I abhor.
It is incredibly hard to pick a winner this task as the top 3 are neck and neck, as always I am going with my gut feeling. Congratulations gnge, you look is simple, but it conveys an adventure and a story through few items equipped and your aesthetic really shined in this task. Well done to -austin@troy- and HerbyMainsted for making it to the top, you both made your fellow competitors sweat this week.
This week we are saying see you later to cherylcolelova. You got 8th place in your first ever longterm, in a season of 26 designers, which is something to be proud of. You have definitely become a better designer through this journey.
Task 7 is up, good luck!
